Minister Dlamini Zuma to Host NAM Meeting in Cape Town, 12 - 14 December 2002

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, will host the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Meeting in Cape Town from Thursday, 12 December, to Saturday, 14 December 2002.

Countries participating in this meeting, at the invitation of South Africa as the chair of NAM, will include: Algeria, Columbia. Cuba, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Malaysia, Mozambique, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Zimbabwe. The League of Arab States will also be represented at this meeting.

The meeting will discuss the challenges facing The Non-Aligned Movement in the 21st century against the backdrop of the need to push back the frontiers of poverty and underdevelopment.
